Regardless of the type of teeth whitening kit you select, almost all use a bleaching tray to hold the whitener material close to your teeth. If you think about it, nothing else really makes sense because your mouth is wet. Because of that wetness, anything you place on your teeth will simply wash away just with the saliva in your mouth.

These are a great, cost effective solution that works well. These are a lot like the mouth pieces used by kids playing intra mural organized sports. It's a flexible, plastic like material that when heated, becomes pliable. Once heated, you simply pop the bleach tray into your mouth and bite down forming an impression of your teeth. This becomes the teeth whitening tray. Many of the lower costs teeth bleaching kits use this type of tray unit. It's effective and gets the job done though it's not as comfortable as the second solution

2. Dental Impression - Custom beaching trays
In the more expensive kits, they work hard to make the treatments as comfortable as possible. It's no good to buy teeth bleach if you won't use it due to an uncomfortable fit of the tray.

With a dental impression tray, the trays are customer made in a dental lab to fit your mouth exactly. They use a better grade material that is essentially softer and easier to wear.

To make a dental impression, these teeth bleaching products provide materials to make the impression that are then sent out to the lab to create the actual bleach tray. These kits send you a putty like material similar to that used by the dentist to make impressions. You simply mix it, pop it into your mouth and bite down. Once the impression is made, you then send it in the enclosed envelope to the dental lab for processing. In a few days, you end up with a great custom fitted bleaching tray ready to long term use

There are many Teeth Bleaching Products available on the market today. Many seem to target a specific price or offer more whitener gel than others. Quality in these cases do matter however. Carefully consider the importance of long term use and wear when selecting the bleaching product that's right for you
